For my first post I am so glad to introduce Kelly Hinchman. For Kelly when it came to her career and passion it was never a question of what, but rather a question of when. She pursued her dream and graduated from the Design Institute of San Diego with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. She now owns Studio H Design Group - a boutique residential and commercial interior design firm with a unique style blending modern and historical design. She values good design from all periods and places. She believes design should tell a story about the client, where they have been, where they want to go. Kelly is passionate about blending textures and grounding rooms with a saturation of one hue making the space feel more serene, welcoming, and all over put together. She focuses on monochromatic colors and texture, then adds pops of a few show stoppers with accent pieces and accessories or artwork.
The thing that stuck out to me most about Kelly’s company, besides the incredible design, was Kelly’s mission statement:
“Each project and design is unique like you. Our philosophy is both what defines us and sets us apart. We work with our clients to develop and determine their personal aesthetic. In turn, we use them as a muse to create a space that is even better than they envisioned. It is our goal that each project and design is unique like them.”
She believes in designing a harmonious space that will increase productivity, generate more family time, heat up love lives, and lead to a happier, healthier lifestyle.
Studio H not only supports Home of Guiding Hands (www.guidinghands.org), but believes in sourcing sustainable materials.
